Fish Bolts, or Track Bolt, and Nuts are used to fasten the Rail joint bar/Railway fish plate. The Fish Plates are used for holding two rails in horizontal as well as in vertical planes at equal height. At each rail joint, a pair of fish plates is used. Normally there’ll be 4 or 6 holes are drilled through the web of rails and the rails are jointed together by Fish Plates and fish bolts & nuts.
