Rail insulator is also called Railway Insulating Liner, nylon insulator, plastic insulator, rail angle guide plate or railway spacer, it is used to adjust rail gauge and provide electrical insulation and protect the elastic clips or tension clamps from abrasion by direct contact with the rail. The railway track insulators are installed between rail and tie plate.
